JUNE IS DAIRY MONTH...... where we give special recognition to our
local dairy farmers.
We are a non-profit organization that our main goal is to promote, educate and support the dairy industry all year long.
From our biggest fundraising event is the Washington County Breakfast on the Farm, which we could not do without the help of our donors, volunteers, local dairy farms and our devoted committee members.
Some of our committee members are not even dairy farmer but are passionate about the dairy industry and agriculture.
We use the funds raised from the Breakfast to support the Washington County Fair with reduced ice cream sundaes, buy a milk get a milk for free at the Farm Bureau stand and The AgAdventure Land located next to the dairy barn, where youth can experience being a farmer.
Our Committee supports education through our Ag Ambassador program and Ag Day Farm Tours at multiple schools in Washington County.
We also award (3) $1000 scholarships to youth heading into an agriculture or related schooling.
